  • When do you expect to be able to start using commercial Earth Observation (platform) services based on Copernicus data?

  • Type of project

  • Please select the type of project your are applying for.

Wave 2: Funding for individual institutes to submit proposals for research projects that would benefit by consuming Earth Observation (platform) services based on Copernicus data. OCRE will fund 100% of the use of these services which would be supplied by suppliers on the OCRE Dynamic Purchasing System.

Wave 3: Co-funding for institutional research projects referred or supported by national/multi-national research (support) agencies. These agencies could be ESFRIs, ERICs, NRENs, national/regional eInfrastructure organisations, large European/national research agencies, etc. OCRE can provide (further) support for these projects to consume Earth Observation (platform) services based on Copernicus Data with 50% co-funding.

  • Funding thresholds

  • The OCRE project anticipates funding the use of commercial Earth Observation (platform) services based on Copernicus data for research projects, successful in their applications for such, up to a maximum of €100.000 for Wave 2 and €250,000 for Wave 3 projects.

We expect applications to provide an indication of anticipated spend on these services based on a high level budgeting exercise.

Please indicate by ticking the corresponding box which range of project funding you are applying for?

  • If your research project anticipates consuming cloud services at a cost significantly higher than the OCRE threshold, but you feel that the project could attract significant attention in terms of its objectives and ability to demonstrate the impact of these services, please submit a proposal with a detailed justification of these services.
